Population

An average of 5.123 million people currently live in New Zealand. Of which 2,497 million are women and 2.42 million are men.

New Zealand's population is sparsely populated. Most of its inhabitants live in urban areas on the North Island, where climatological and geographical conditions are most favorable for human habitat.

Flag

The New Zealand flag has a royal blue background with a Union Jack in the first quarter, and four five-pointed red stars with white borders on the fly. Religion

Religion in New Zealand has a wide variety of groups and beliefs. Christianity is the most common religion, with 38.6 percent of the population. Hinduism is the second largest religion with 2.6% of the population and Sikhism is the fastest growing religion.
